The internet or the net is a network of computers. It links thousands of computers or smaller networks of computers with one another. It is so large that millions of people around the world can use it at the same time.

The internet helps its users to get and send messages, information, pictures very quickly. It is like an ocean of information. You just have to give instructions to your computer and all the information you need comes on the screen of your computer. Websites are the places of the internet where all the information is stored. You can visit the website with the help of the computer and get the information on whatever subject you want. And you need not wait for the snail-mail of the post office. The internet provides a system of sending and receiving messages or mail on computers. This system is called ‘e-mail'.

Internet is really a great boon to the people all over the world.
